July 31, 2010 -- A two-day-old wildfire that consumed nearly 22 square miles of brush north of Los Angeles was 62 percent contained as of Saturday morning, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Officials also are concerned about more dry, windy weather conditions forecast for the area through Sunday.

About 1,700 firefighters remained on the fire lines Saturday afternoon. Five water-dropping helicopters, a 747 tanker plane and a DC-10 aircraft that drops fire retardant, similar to the Boeing, were assisting.
