Here's an infernal matter that comes up periodically, with news of fresh research on the matter: Does cleaning up some sun-light reflecting air pollutants actually exacerbate global warming? The latest word? Yep, cleaning up the air will make it harder to meet climate goals, but that's no reason not to try.
