For those who love the “heavy metal” look and feel of the classic mid-60s American pickup truck, but would rather have a more modern version for their daily driver, this custom build from ICON 4X4 might be what you’re looking for.
The ICON Dodge D200 is an attempt to capture the iconic design of the original 1965 crew cab model in conjunction with a fully updated and modernized performance and comfort package. The restored body sits on a modern Dodge 3500 series truck chassis, and features a 5.9 L Cummins engine, along with a host of other performance upgrades from Banks Power, who have partnered with ICON for this build.
In addition to the upgraded mechanical systems, the D200 also has custom fabricated mirrors, trim, and tailgate latches, and sports a 4.5 inch lift kit, Hutchinson rims, and 37″ Goodrich all terrain tires. The interior is also getting a serious overhaul, with “free-range American Indian reservation sourced” bison leather from Parabellum, as well as a custom stereo system.
The ICON D200 debuted at SEMA 2012, and is just one of many incredible fabrications from ICON 4X4. To find out more about the company and their builds, see ICON 4X4.
