Kia has unveiled a new concept, the Track’ster concept at the Chicago Auto Show. The Track’ster is basically a hotter three-door version of the popular Kia Soul.

The performance-oriented Track’ster hints at where the future of the Soul could go. At the heart of the Track’ster concept sits a 250-hp 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is definitely more fun than the top 164-hp engine currently available in the Soul. All that power is sent to the ground via a six-speed manual transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. The Track’ster also rides on a lowered suspension with 19-inch wheels. To keep everything under control, the Track’ster gets large 14-inch Brembo vented and cross-drilled disc brakes are embraced by six-piston calipers in front and 13.6-inch discs are paired with four-piston calipers at the rear.

Even though the Track’ster does away with the Soul’s two rear doors, its wheelbase is almost an inch longer than the Soul’s at 101.2 inches. At 75.5 inches wide, the concept is five inches wider than the Soul. Inside, the concept gets Inferno Orange suede-covered racing seats and Granite Gray leather and suede covers the interior.
