Sept. 16, 2011 -- The venerable institution of the Guinness World Records announced its kookiest entrants to their book this week, and they did not disappoint, especially when it comes to dogs.

The longest ears of any pooch on record belong to Harbor, a Black-and-Tan Coonhound. Harbor is 8 years old and weighs 40.51 kg (89.2 pounds). He's owned by Jennifer Wert. As of June 8, 2010, when they were measured, Harbor's ears were 31.1 cm (12.25 in) and 34.3 cm (13.5 in) long, for the left and right ears, respectively.
DOGS: Wow your friends with your canine know-how after reading these stories.
The most dogs ever seen skipping on the same rope numbers 13, according to Guinness World Records, which has just released its 2012 edition book. The feat, pictured below, was achieved by Uchida Geinousha's "Super Wan Wan Circus" for the Bikkuri Chojin Special #3 (Fuji TV) in Tochigi, Japan, on Oct. 27, 2009.
