Castrating Fish Found in Ill. Lake: Would you swim in a lake that contained at least one fish that has been reported to rip off men’s testicles?
Lake Lou Yaeger, in Illinois, has turned up a pacu, a relative of the piranha that is not native to North America.
Pacus have teeth that resemble humans’ and have been said to have castrated and killed two fishermen in Papua New Guinea, earning the species the name “The Ball Cutter.”
