reports. The whale vomit is actually a substance called ambergris, which is very valuable to the perfume
industry and which used to be gathered from the bellies of sperm whales that had been killed. Ambergris
has been mostly replaced by synthetics in the perfume industry, making actual ambergris worth even more.
