Bald Eagle Viewing Sites Across the U.S.

The bald eagle population in the United States is soaring, according to The National Wildlife Federation. The distinctive birds have increased in numbers thanks to successful conservation efforts over the years. In 2007, bald eagles were even taken off of the endangered species list.

The birds are found everywhere in the U.S. except Hawaii. During the winter, you can often see many bald eagles congregating together, which is quite an impressive sight. The NWF invites you to "bundle up and take the family outdoors to spot the majestic birds of prey, or join in on an eagle watching weekend this winter."
