Vatican Thumbs Up on New Bond Film: The
Vatican’s newspaper devoted five articles in praise of the new James Bond movie, “Skyfall,” reports The
Telegraph.
The paper used to print boring articles about saints, Vatican happenings and the Pope’s
schedule, but has busted out into pop culture over the past five years.
The paper praised Bond’s more
human nature as played by Daniel Craig: Bond is “more human, capable of being moved and of crying: in a
word, more real,” The Telegraph reported the paper as saying.
The editors liked it so much that they
proclaimed it one of the best of the 23 Bond films ever to have been made since the first one debuted 50
years ago.
I guess I’ll have to see it!
