Want a new way to see the city? Try a Scavenger Dash, where teams adventure through the urban environment, traveling on foot or via public transit to a series of checkpoints and challenges.

“At the beginning of the race, each team will be given an envelope that contains twelve clues you will need to solve. This clue sheet also serves as your passport. Complete the clues, then venture to the checkpoints indicated by your answers, and follow the instructions. At some points you’ll complete a challenge, at others take a picture, and some receive a stamp for your passport. All challenges will be completable by nearly anyone and you have the option of skipping one of the twelve clues. Strategy will play a big role in which to skip. “

You can use a variety of methods to solve the clues: your smartphone, a GPS, asking strangers, using the library, or even carrying a laptop with you, but you may want to also recruit a ‘phone friend’, who will be at home just waiting to Google your clue for you.

And costumes are highly recommended.
