U.K. Unions Threaten Strike for Games: As if a shortfall in security guards weren't enough to complicate London's Olympic Games, now train drivers and border control officials are threatening to strike during the games, reports Reuters.
Passengers from central England will find it hard to get to the games if 450 rail workers strike on Aug 6-8 over a retirement dispute.
And it might be a tad hard to get into the U.K. if border control agents decide to strike on July 26, the day before the Games begin.
The U.K. government is warning unions that their plan could backfire into public anger. via Reuters
