With all the activities that can tire you out during an outdoor getaway, sometimes you just need a “vacation from your vacation.” Well, thanks to the Dutch folks at Weltevree, you can bring the relaxing experience of soaking in a hot tub almost anywhere. Their handmade Dutchtub is a “portable” four-person hot tub made of glass fiber polyester, weighing in at about 165 pounds. This may sound like much, but it’s not when you realize that, according to Treehugger, it can simply be pulled behind a bicycle, and according to Wend, it can easily be transported strapped to the top of a car — even a small Mini Cooper.
Most importantly, the Dutchtub experience is “like slipping into a giant teacup, making anyone soaking inside look wonderfully out of proportion” — says the narrator of their promotional video.
Water is heated through a specially-designed coil system, but it requires some campfire making skills. Then again, there’s nothing you may want to do after chopping wood and making a fire than soaking in a hot tub.
