Well, the 17th annual X Games has officially started in Los Angeles, and history has already been made in its first day. In the Moto X Best Trick Contest, Australian Jacko Strong dominated the competition by landing his motorbike after doing a forward flip — the first ever in the X Games history — winning him first place, in addition to an ovation from the audience and his fellow competitors at the Staples Center. (Check out the video here.) Although he and a small group of motorbikers have attempted and successfully landed such a feat, it was never accomplished in official competition until now.
This is Strong’s second X Games, and at only 19 years old, he has some years ahead of him do it again, or even outdo himself; he already knows how flip forward and come around from down under — but perhaps that’s part of his Australian edge.
