Wake up early, lace up your shoes, grab your deck, and hit the streets. Grind through your neighborhood as shops open and the first commuters take to the sidewalks. The sun gets higher, traffic increases. Then, you keep going.

In “Quick”—a new video from Colin Kennedy—street skater Austyn Gillette does what he does best through the neighborhoods of Los Angeles. The video is simple, just a side-scrolling run through the streets, and only partly features skating. Of that skating footage, only a few seconds are full of tricks.
But what the video captures is the pure joy of motion that street skating embodies.
