Magnus Midtbø is an incredible climber (and an amazingly strong guy). Even among climbers, Magnus is one buff dude. He’s very serious about his training – capable of knocking out 6 one-finger pullups and 50 one-armed pushups – and the payoff is incredible strength and control on the rock, which is evident in this video of his first ascent of Norway’s hardest boulder problem, Blood Redemption (8C).

Magnus is the top dog in Norway’s climbing scene, one of the world’s best climbers, and this first ascent video is a great example of what’s required in world-class bouldering.
