After Felix Baumgartner made his jump from the edge of space, sponsor Red Bull received global publicity hits for this daredevil stunt. But Slim Jim isn’t about to sit back and let this opportunity pass, which is why it sponsored another brave fall aired on Conan.
Here’s the catch: Instead of outdoing Red Bull with the longest free fall ever, Slim Jim’s stuntman performed the shortest ever jump. How short? About four inches. It lasts all of 0.006 seconds, and the chute, notably, didn’t deploy until he’s hit the floor. (It’s hard, but please resist the urge for that’s-what-she-said jokes.) And unlike Baumgartner, he doesn’t make it (joking).
